The beautiful NTC (Nike Training Center) Lincoln Park just opened at 833 W. Armitage in Chicago. This new facility is geared for Lincoln Park women, with fabulous Nike workout gear for all athletes (and shoes of course) and FREE fitness classes! What better way to have have a GNO (Girls’ Night Out) than to meet at NTC Lincoln Park, take a class, shop Nike and the rest of the neighborhood, too?
On Tuesday I (along with other media and VIPs) had the opportunity to try out the apparel and take a class while wearing the latest Nike footwear. Nike recently developed shoes designed specifically for yoga and Pilates. They are called The Studio Wrap Pack because they actually come in 3 parts: a neoprene “Wrap” that is toe-less, a ribbon for support (and cuteness), and then a rubber soled ballet flat that you can wear over the Wrap so you can walk to class! You can also wear only the ballet flat, or the ballet flat with the ribbon, or only The Wrap. This shoe has multiple looks, with multiple options and works for multiple purposes. It’s genius!

So how does The Wrap perform during a real workout? Well, we got to test it for ourselves during a yoga class on the lofty top floor at NTC Lincoln Park. At times I swear I did not feel The Wrap at all. In fact it just felt like I was barefoot. At other times (like in Downward Dog) I had no fear of slipping on the mat. Success!
