New York Events. FEED for Links of London Bracelet Launch

Inside Links of London Soho
Not to get all corny but, this week while we’re all giving thanks, we should all be remembering those who are less fortunate. And with the gift giving season around the corner, we all know it’s always fashionable to give a gift that ultimately gives back. That’s why last week, we just had to stop by the launch of the latest big-hearted collaboration between Links of London and FEED. The elegant jeweler and the initiative to end world hunger teamed up just in time for the holidays to release a friendship bracelet collection.
The FEED for Links of London bracelets
Consisting of six playful color cord bracelets, the FEED for Links of London bracelets quietly sparkle with little silver beads that carry a big message. Each bead is in the shape of a different motif that represents a different intervention in the fight against world hunger. Each bracelet is engraved with the number of meals that will be given per bracelet sold.

Intrigued? We sure were. The motifs are: The FEED logo bracelet of black and metallic silver thread carries the engraving 50, meaning 50 school meals to children in a country that suffers from hunger. The Silver Leaf logo bracelet of green thread carries the engraving 50, meaning 50 school meals in areas that been affected by natural disaster. The Silver Heart bracelet of fuchsia and metallic pink thread carries the engraving 50, meaning 50 school meals in areas with high HIV/Aids rates. The Waterdrop bracalet of blue and pewter thread carries engraving 500, meaning 500 days of clean drinking water for one child. The Dove bracelet of grey and metallic silver thread carries the engraving 50, meaning 50 school meals in areas of war and conflict.
Each FEED for Linksof London bracelet comes with its own pillow, case and notecard on the charity it helps
The knowledgeable Links of London staff were hand to help explain the causes, and try the bracelets on!
With such important causes at stake, it was hard to even notice how adorable the stackable corded circlets were as we tried them on and layered them with other beaded and embellished treasures from Links of London. An extra bonus was the appearance of FEED projects founder Lauren Bush, who came by the Links of London Soho store with all of us to mark the importance of the launch. She noted, “The partnership was the result of both brads wishing to create a desirable high end fashion product with a conscience. Each bracelet supports a different program that is effectively fighting hunger and malnutrition around the world through their donation to the FEED Foundation.”
