New Marni Winter Edition 2013 Jewelry Collection Features Sustainable, Cardboard Components
Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni has found another innovative solution in using special, sustainable materials. Her new Winter Edition 2013 jewelry collection is made of recycled and pressed cardboard components. With bold, geometric modular elements on cotton ribbons, the pieces retain the edgy quirkiness that is unique to Marni, while remaining environmentally-friendly.
The cardboard is natural or dyed black. Necklaces feature cardboard in a sequence or mixed with compositions of crystal or glass strass. The naïf and stylized brooches are composed of recycled cardboard within gold metal structures and decorated with colored crystals. The distinct, yet versatile, designs can add the perfect pop to complete a fabulous outfit.
