Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring '12. Rafael Cennamo's Frilly, Fanciful Fashion

Summary: The Spring ’12 collection at Rafael Cennamo was simply lovely. A room filled with lilac, white and black felt like a fairy-tale of fashion. One of my favorites this season, Cennamo presented stunning cocktail dresses and floor-swept gowns. From editors to celebrities, all fell in love with the whimsy that was lace, tulle and feathers.
Cennamo has progressively been dressing the famous and his SS’12 breathtaking gowns are sure to grace the Red Carpet. Inspired by collectible dolls, the chiffon and tulle frocks had a Marchesa-esque look to them, which I of course adored. While few colors were seen, silhouettes and textures greatly differed. Flutes of raspberry garnished champagne floated about as onlookers gushed over the romantic, dreamlike dresses. Each in its respective cluster, Rafael Cennamo Spring 2012 was breathtaking in its own right. As I repeatedly wandered around The Box, I kept finding myself back in front of the lilac cap sleeved frock. Not sure where I pictured myself going, but nevertheless, I was ready to walk off with it (and so many others) right then and there! Mr. Cennamo, feel free to send a sample my way, please and thank you!
