Summary: Celebrity favorite Falguni and Shane Peacock toned down their typical bold graphics for a sophisticated warrior look instead. Dresses with silhouettes from the 40’s were edgy with black velvet lattices on top of lace graphics. As the looks progressed, metal breast plates over shift dresses became more and more elaborate–blinding those who watched them come down the runway. What started as a simple chrome band across the waist progressed into an elaborate chrome harness and finished as full on chrome bodice armor (quite like Cersei Lanister’s breast plate at the end of Season 2 of Game of Thrones). When chrome body armor was missing, models wore metal collars with what looked like locks on them. Getting too S&M for you? Models’ backs revealed how all bodice armor and metal necklaces were tied with delicate ribbon, turning fetish into more of a fantasy.
Dresses glided down the runway with full skirts of feathers in blue and green that took the edge off of an otherwise gothic color palette. Other notable detailing included the gunmetal metallic long gloves on most models that looked more like a second skin. Overall, Falguni and Shane Peacock stay true to who they are as designers and who they design for. Divas and rap stars alike (Eve was front row) will appreciate the bedazzling on some pieces alongside the standout dress that says ‘Wild Child’ across a mesh top with a feathered skirt bottom. Though this collection might be difficult to wear outside of a movie premiere or concert performance, we are tempted to rock some chrome body armor ourselves.
