Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall '12. Tracy Reese and Her Variegated Spectrum

Summary: Kicking off the show in a bright red orange blouse and crepe pants, Tracy Reese‘s Fall/Winter 2012 ready to wear runway show started with a splash of color. This collection was made for the girl ready to stand out in the crowd.
For the collection, Reese wanted to bring “colorful, confident attire for navigating the urban landscape.” Imbued with bold patterns, graphic embellishments and a rich textile mix, the collection is energized with a slightly optimistic feel for spring. Shots of metallic were injected into shift dresses and ponte flared pants. Tailored coats and slim line pants were paired with cozy knit sweaters to complete a look that is both sharp and feminine.
Baseball caps and wide wrap-around sunglasses accentuated the overtly feminine frocks and brought more of an urban feel to the collection as a whole. I thought that these accessories were a nice touch than the standard briefcase or canvas bag.
Color Palette: tomato, lemon, juniper, black, gold, ecru, chestnut, gourd, violet, navy, pinwheel, Persian blue, carrot, camel, teal, turquoise
Fabric & Textures: stretch crepe, jacquard, shearling, neoprene, jersey, astrakhan, fox fur, jacquard applique, metallic medallions, knit, baroque, lame, beading
