New reports are surfacing today that the President of Puig Fashion Group, Mario Grauso, is stepping down from his post next month. WWD stated that Grauso has supposedly submitted his resignation and plans to leave his executive duties following New York Fashion Week. The fashion industry veteran has been running the house of Carolina Herrerra for the past decade and has also overseen the operations of Nina Ricci and Paco Rabanne since 2004. It is his ties with the Ricci label, that many are speculating as a cause for his resignation. A source close to Grauso noted that the he was very disappointed with the recent departure of Nina Ricci's head designer Olivier Theyskiens (who was succeeded by Peter Copping from Louis Vuitton) and has been unhappy with the state of affairs ever since. Before joining Herrera, Grauso was the U.S. president of Celine and executive vice president at Vera Wang. Although the Puig Fashion Group has not officially confirmed Grauso's imminent departure, sources say that a search for the executive's successor has already begun.
