Between the billboards placed all over town and the can't-miss fashion-filled commercials, this movie is everywhere! Out in theaters Friday, February 13, Confessions is based on Sophie Kinsella's "Shopaholic" book series. When she finds herself in debt from all of her shopping excursions, a change in career path is taken to console her costly habit. TREND 1 LAYOUT
Trend #1: Black, White and Pink All over
Black and white pieces will always be the staple in every woman's wardrobe. Knowing how to add pops of color will turn this classic look into something more modern. Rebecca does just that. The Coffee Shop Houndstooth Jacket from overstock.com is almost identical to that shown in the movie. Plus, it's totally affordable! Alisha Levine's violet silk top is the perfect item to throw underneath in colder months. It can also be worn by itself with skinny jeans or a sharp pencil skirt on warmer days. Its versatile ways is yet again, a great way to save. Throw in a colorful clutch for an extra pop and you're good to go!

TREND 2 LAYOUT
Trend #2: Bright, Bold Colors
Bold colors are huge for spring! Isla Fisher totally pulls this look off while strutting the streets of Manhattan. As stylist and fashion know-it-all Rachel Zoe always says, "It doesn't have to match. It just has to make sense." This look is easy to achieve with great finds from Zac Posen, such as his fuschia leather bag. For something on the less expensive side, try this retro faux suede laptop case from Target. "I love the idea of a bold color and fabric for your laptop case. It's such a feminine touch to a normally masculine looking bag," says Nicolette. A silk top in electric blue, like the one seen here from Madison Marcus, is a great way to pull the whole look together.

TREND 3 LAYOUT
Trend #3: Pencil Skirts
Alright, this is something every woman must own. For me personally, the pencil skirt is the quintessential piece I cannot live without. Whether I'm wearing one to work or a night out on the town, I always feel put together, never frumpy. I am absolutely in love with the Camilla & Marc Miranda skirt! In regards to this piece, Nicolette implies, "An investment skirt, no doubt, but thanks to the gold dome buttons, there's no need for a belt." Another great find Rebecca would be seen in is the nude Forever 21 pencil skirt with the pretty bow detail. Super inexpensive and super cute!

TREND 4 LAYOUT
Trend #4: Belted Waists
This trend has been everywhere for the past few seasons, both on and off the runways. A cinched waist is the perfect way to create an hourglass figure and makes the waist look tiny. Exactly what we love. Patricia Field obviously feels the same because Isla Fisher was seen sporting this trend throughout the entire movie. Geren Ford has created a wide, multi-colored belt that would look amazing on pretty much anyone. And believe it or not, the black with gold accent belt is a fantastic find from Kmart. Not only was the belted waist shown throughout Confessions of a Shopaholic, but belted waists with gold details were extremely ubiquitous.

TREND 5 LAYOUT
Trend #5: Gloves
Patricia Field is known for her quirky, over-the-top fashion sense. This was no different for the movie set. Okay, so the pink taffeta gown with the vivid ruffled petticoat is a bit much. However if anyone can pull it off, it is Miss Bloomwood herself. Whether she was modeling long gloves or shorter ones at Bendel, the look is effortlessly chic (And not to mention, seen in just about every outfit ensemble). This is one accessory that should never leave a hole in your Gucci wallet. Opt for a pair in a classic hue or something bold, like purple!

Hair: To deem your look complete, style your luscious locks like Rebecca Bloomwood: perfectly wavy and frizz free, while still remaining effortless. Brenda Barry of Brilli Salon suggests, "The key to this style is to craft touchable, soft waves. Not something that will crunch in your fingers and be hard to the touch."

Here are a few of Brenda's tips to achieve this easy, do-it-yourself look at home:

  • Apply mousse to damp hair to bring out the natural curl and dry with a diffuser. Brenda says be cautious and "avoid drying her straight so you can retain any natural wave."
  • Use a 1 and 1/2 inch curling iron to create a natural curl pattern. "The thing to remember when using a curling iron is to wind the hair around the outside of the iron instead of clamping down on the ends and rolling it up," says Brenda. "This will help create a looser, more relaxed curl."
  • Use fingers to gently break up the curl once hair has cooled down.
  • Lastly, mist hair lightly with spray to keep curls in place. Keep hands off! Playing with your hair too much will result in frizz and flyaways.

Of course, if you don't consider yourself to be a hair stylist maven, stop into a salon for a visit with a real expert for this quick and easy do. Ask Brilli Salon for their quickie curl. (Seriously. It only takes 15 minutes!) Best part is, you don't even need an appointment – just stop in to their location on 3334 N. Ashland. And voila! Perfect hair to go with your perfect new trendy ensemble. Now make like Rebecca Bloomwood and go shopping… just don't blame us if you can't stop!
