Get It Now: Seasons in Transition – From Winter to Spring

There’s something that’s simply quite wonderful about the switch from winter to spring clothes – going from heavy knits and tights to lightweight dresses can feel like you are free of the winter blues. However, the seasonal change doesn’t happen overnight, so layers and transition pieces are key to adapting to variable weather and new trends.
Statement Dresses
A bold dress in a flattering shade that you can wear with tights as well as bare legs as it warms up, like this red and black striped jersey option by French Connection, is the ideal season-less piece.
Vests
When it is too warm for a full-on jacket but you need a little something to ward off the chill, throw on a chic and edgy vest like this biker style one from Vero Moda.
Open–Weave Tights
One way to “spring forward” with your ensembles is to trade your thick black opaque tights for an open weave. These Pointelle tights from Forever21 are a great cheap thrill.
Light-Colored Boots
Swapping out your black boots for a pair that’s soft cognac or caramel-hued can also go a long towards lightening your sartorial mood. These Ciao Bella riding boots fit the bill perfectly.
Casual Jacket
Although trenchcoats are indeed the ubiquitous choice, a simple cotton with hints of military styling can go a long towards summarizing your winter blacks and greys, and it will also toughen up a girly dress or make something fancy more casual.  It is versatility for the win.
Stunning Shoes
Okay, these aren’t transitional at all really, but they are amazing. And since when do we ever need a reason to showcase a pair as fabulous as these studded Alaias?
