And now you can too, with a few key pieces that can turn your entire ensemble into one look that will have everyone talking whether it’s romance or rock & roll.

Rock & Roll
You don’t have to sing like Joan Jett to give your look that rock & roll edge. Simply add a ripped tank, tough leather jacket, ripped leggings, skinny jeans, or a skin-tight black bandaged dress to your wardrobe.

We thought she was a little innocent, but former Dancing with the Stars’ professional Julianne Hough surprised us all when she paired a leather jacket with a belly baring bustier and tight leather pants. While we’re used to seeing The Hills’ Audrina Patridge in everything from floral frocks to forward fashion, we loved her gray leather jacket, dark skinny jeans, and thick platform booties. Emmy Rossum is known for her bright spots of color, but she really got our attention when she pulled up her hair into a tight pony and pulled on an expertly crafted mesh-paneled bandage Ferragamo dress in black with shiny drop earrings. J.Lo also knows how to go rock & roll. She added knee-high boots to her form-fitting studded bandage dress from Herve Leger by Max Azria. And Lindsay Lohan‘s not the only one wearing ripped leggings. Country pop teen Miley Cyrus knows how to look tough but stylish in hers.

A moto jacket from Rag & Bone is just the ticket to the rocker chic in all of us.

Romantic
Moving completely away from the tough but fashionable rock & roll look, stars are trading their leather jackets for lace, ruffles, brushstroke dresses, bow-topped frocks, and tulip skirts.

Demi Moore wore her beautiful black and white brush painted Prabal Gurung dress with a bow at her chest and her husband Ashton Kutcher on her arm. Always a debonair lady, Julianne Moore gave her regal sharp-shouldered puff-sleeve dress a pop in pale peach and satin platforms. We thought Zooey Deschanel always went for edgy, but she proved us wrong with a girlie look that took our breath away. A pastel pink dress with a black bow belt sweetened up her bow-topped pumps and Ban.Do headband. Finally, the always elegant Ginnifer Goodwin keeps it clean as usual with a petal-skirt.

This Opening Ceremony long skirt with ruffles at the hem is both romantic and chic at the same time.

Glam
Glam could simply be termed as fabulous, fancy-free and dressed up. But for fashionistas these days, glam also means patent leather, vinyl, metallics, silver, and lame.

Take Diane Kruger, for example, who amped up her otherwise normal tulip dress but fronting it in J.Mendel’s futuristic silver sheen. Gwyneth Paltrow played up her shiny silver jacket with caged Christian Louboutins. Beyonce regularly does the same, opting for gold and silver tones instead of the usual black and gray. To keep up the space-age chic that is the trend de jour of the moment, other stars like Rihanna and Katy Perry like to make statements in Matthew Williamson sequined cocktail dresses and Balmain.

Be the ultimate glam party girl in this shiny blazer.
