To celebrate the much anticipated Season 6 of Project Runway, the brains behind the show's new network Lifetime have come up with the best possible way to welcome us back to Heidi Land. Filming has reportedly just begun on the (drumroll, please) all-star special of Project Runway! That's right, the rumors are true: designers from former seasons are making their way back to the runway to battle it out one last time in a one-hour special slated to air right before the new season premiere next month. The returning alumni include Chris March, Jeffrey Sebelia, Michael Knight, Daniel Vosovic, Santino Rice, Kenley Collins, Sweet P and Korto Momolu. And though the number of comebacks will be significant, sadly, many of the more well known faces including Christian Siriano, Rami Kashou, Jack Mackenroth, Kit Pistol and Laura Bennett, are expected to be absent.

The alumni that have decided to return for the all-star special will have to adjust to the new coast where Project filming now takes place. When the show changed hands from Bravo to Lifetime, the new network promised the show's loyal fan base that only minimal changes would occur, one of which was the locale where the show was filmed. Rumors that the show jumped from New York to L.A. to accomodate host Heidi Kulm's schedule have run rampant as the Season 6 designers set up shop in one of L.A.'s well known buildings called The Atlas. The all-star special has seemingly been designed to open up this new chapter of a sunnier, West Coast Project while providing a dash of the beloved nitty gritty from New York. We can't wait!
