Who knew that designers would suddenly make it so easy for us to get to their shows during Fashion Week?!
Well at least a few are doing their part, for our convenience as well as for the environment, with special designer bicycles!
Diane von Furstenberg, Isaac Mizrahi, Elie Tahari, Nanette Lepore and Rebecca Taylor are among the participating gurus who are helping The Fashion Center BID with their bedazzled Bowery Lane Bicycles. The designer bikes will be available to borrow at designated areas in the Garment Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Anyone wishing to partake in the bike-rental program will need to supply a credit card in order to ensure the two-wheelers are returned unharmed. That means no stilettos getting caught in the spokes!
