Designer Dish. Bruce Hoeksema Slated to Design Asprey Collection for Fall

Former president of Valentino USA, Bruce Hoeksema, has just announced he will be designing a small collection of handbags for luxe label Asprey. Former model himself, Hoeksema is also the head designer behind his accessories label, VBH, which stands for V. Bruce Hoeksema, and which he began in 1999. Hoeksema left Valentino in the beginning of 2001 and has been working exclusively on his namesake label ever since. This will be the first collaborative venture between the designer and the handbag company. An Asprey spokeswoman refused to reveal when exactly the bags would debut but it was confirmed that it would be sometime this fall. The bags for Hoeksema's VBH line are produced exclusively in Italy in limited quantity and have a fan following that includes Michelle Obama.
