Cynthia Nixon, a.k.a. Miranda Hobbs on Sex and The City, gets her groove back with a new show called "The Big C" which seems like another by-product of the "Eat, Pray, Love" phenomenon of self enlightenment. Only this time, Cynthia plays Jennifer, a sex-crazed sidekick to Laura Linney, a Minnesota school teacher who finds out that she has terminal Melanoma. Instead of undergoing treatment like most people would do, Laura decides to take a step back and try to figure out how her life became so tragically mundane.
The plot sounds appetizing enough and being able to see Cynthia outside of her SATC comfort zone will be reason enough to watch. Who knows, this show might make it on my TiVo list this fall.
