Last Thursday, May 21, The International Academy of Design & Technology (the Academy) hosted its 30th annual IMAGINE student fashion runway show. Held at the Great Hall at Union Station, the show attracted a record breaking 1,000 fashion fans and industry insiders (including Second City Style).
Created, produced and performed by the students and faculty of the Academy each program at the Academy played a role in conceiving the fashion show: from developing the logo and stage décor, casting the models, as well as creating the fashions.

Prizes for outstanding fashion design were awarded to Academy students’ Hector-Javier MonArrez who won the first prize for his collection and academic achievement, Fraley Le who won the second prize for his collection and Samantha Garkow who won the third prize for her garment.
All awarded students’ designs and more than 60 original student fashions were highlighted on the IMAGINE 2009 catwalk in categories such as technicolor, origins, city style, glimmer, nuptials and faux fur.
Looks fun.
