There isn’t a fashionista in town that doesn’t love Project Runway. So when season 9 contestant Viktor Luna popped into Macy’s on State Street to host the “Find Your Magic” contest and fashion show, we were clamoring to get a seat!
The fun and intimate event showcased some of the most popular spring fashion trends including color-blocking, floral prints and seventies-inspired looks, with the gorgeous models dressed head-to-toe in designer pieces from Macy’s. Viktor was the consummate host, taking audience questions about fashion, his personal style, design do’s and don’ts and what the future holds for his collections.
After the runway show, attendees had the chance to test their styling skills in a contest that pinned audience member against audience member in a battle to win a $100 Macy’s gift card and gift baskets from Bobbi Brown cosmetics and BCBG. Winners were chosen by the audience and the light-hearted challenged left everyone laughing, cheering and coveting many of the outfits selected for the models.
All in attendance were treated to gift bags by sponsor Tous jewelry and a make-up specialist was on hand to provide make up tips and touch ups after the show. The event was low-key, but tons of fun!
