Chicago’s biggest fashion show finally arrived Friday night! Macy’s Passport Presents hosted Glamorama 2013 in Millennium Park at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance on Friday, August 8th. With Cirque du Soleil and nine-time Grammy-award winning Sheryl Crow closing out the show, no one could help but stand up and cheer. Macy’s Glamorama is an hour-long high-end fashion show and musical production that not only unveils the latest fashions from the hottest designers, but also showcases heart-stopping dance, lush visuals, staging as well as incredible musical performances by chart-topping artists. This year’s theme is “Fashion in a New Light.”
In addition to a stylish fashion show debuting the newest Fall collections from Jean Paul Gaultier, Rachel Rachel Roy, Philosophy, Weekend Max Mara, Tommy Hilfiger and Diesel, guests were also treated to a show from the Cirque du Soleil Mystère. The audienece was also treated to the band The Summer Set, winners of the iHeart Radio Rising Star contest, who performed their new song “Boomerang”. Crow closed out the show with many of her hits, including, “If It Makes You Happy” and “Every Day is Winding Road”.
