Between all of the runway shows from Spring/Summer 2012, Chado Ralph Rucci was hands down the most stunning and sophisticated collection of them all. Seeing the models embody the Chado woman in the show expressed so much in very little words, that I myself became completely speechless during the show. So, you can’t believe how excited I was to learn that I would be meeting designer Ralph Rucci himself! It was such a treat to be able to see the pieces close up at Neiman Marcus on Michigan Avenue last week, speaking with students and Chado lovers alike.
Rucci spoke to a small group earlier during the say about his start as a designer, struggling through each collection and the feeling of success after each show. Rucci’s anecdotes were timeless recollections of everything from how he held his first runway show and all the work put into it, as well as all the work he has been doing since.
YES! I LOOK FORWARD TO #GROWINGYOUNGER
