New York designer Kenneth Cole escaped the perils of Hurricane Sandy and visited Chicago, giving a heartfelt speech in honor of the Chicago House, a remarkable shelter and agency that supports those suffering from HIV/AIDs (among other things). Chicago’s most fashionable came out for the occasion, including local news anchors, designers, and other luminaries. The Friday afternoon crowd featured a wide range of styles, from a sleek black and blue leather trimmed dress to a striking red jumpsuit – but all of the attendees captured that city chic look that Kenneth does so well.
The event raised over $335,000, with Kenneth Cole as keynote speaker, emcee Cheryl Burton of ABC 7 Chicago, with Chicago House CEO Stan Sloan and co-chairs Susanna Negovan and Todd Hamilton.
