Celebs Front Row Recap at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2013: Jessica Chastain, Hilary Swank, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Vanessa Hudgens

If fashion editors noticed that there weren’t too many celebrities in the front row for the first half of New York Fashion Week, they certainly couldn’t say that about the second week — as A-listers like Jessica Chastain, Hilary Swank, and Miley Cyrus (yes, I call her an A-lister!) started showing up at the shows. Perhaps it wasn’t the celeb-heavy front rows of fashion weeks past, but stars made a veritable showing at shows like Narciso Rodriguez, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, and more.

In one of my favorite outfits of the week – Elizabeth Olsen looked GORGEOUS in a sparkly teal, blue and black motorcycle jacket, skinny pants and gray shoes with striped clutch at the Proenza Schouler show. Color coordinating perfectly next to her was Liv Tyler in her black turtleneck, bold print skirt, and teal bag.
Stephanie Seymour, Jamie King, and Allison Williams at Jason Wu

A beautiful display of graphic black and white at the Jason Wu show where Stephanie Seymour, Jamie King, and Allison Williams lit up the front row in prints, lace, and black tights. While Allison Williams only made one (memorable) appearance at Jason Wu, Jamie King hit up many shows this season including Wildfox, Kate Spade, and Lela Rose.  She put effort into her style in the front row and looked stunning at each.
Carmen Electra at The Blonds

Carmen Electra was also statement-making at the shows, whether it was in bright blue, royal blue fur or this sequined bustier at The Blonds.
Vanessa Hudgens, Shay Mitchell, Morgan Saylor at Naeem Khan

Vanessa Hudgens made appearances at shows like Diane von Furstenberg, Naeem Khan, and Alice & Olivia while stars like Homeland’s Morgan Saylor and The Carrie Diaries’ Annasophia Robb only had one appearance at their respective shows.

Stars we didn’t expect to see this time around (though we’re glad we did) were Jane Krakowski at Kaufman Franco and Katherine Heigl at J. Mendel.  Also, A-listers like Jessica Chastain and Olivia Wilde were grand surprises, although it’s quite obvious that Olivia outdid herself in her Calvin Klein dress with lace overlay.

Seems like Olivia Palermo, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and stylish couple Chrissy Teigen and John Legend had a ball in the front row at Vera Wang.

Christina Ricci and Miley Cyrus were surprises at the Marc Jacobs show, both in crop tops standing next to the man of the hour in his pajama dressing! Looks like pajamas for day are here to stay!

Perhaps the most star-packed front row of this season – Michael Kors, as usual, with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones (not pictured), Hilary Swank, Zoe Saldana, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Willow Smith, and Paz Vega. So what do you think? Were there enough stars this season? – Simona Kogan Photos: People.com, Popsugar, The Business Insider
