Last week I attended a meet and greet in the workrooms of the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street. Attending were new designers who were interested in applying for the next program. Some of the 2012 Designers In Residence were on hand to show them their offices and workroom and tell the applicants about the program. I heard a lot of encouragement from Chicago Fashion Incubator designers. However, they told me they think the year is going way too fast and they will miss it! They are a nice group of enthusiastic designers who became good friends and share their ideas and resources. I was familiar with this year’s designers and their work, especially since they were all recently featured during last month’s Fashion Focus Chicago.
