The Chicago store exclusive pieces include the bright red Canada Coat (perfect for Hawks and Bulls fans), the Freestyle Crew Vest in a unique camo print and the Langford (men’s) and Lorette (women’s) Black Label Parkas that will keep you warm and dry this season.
The Canada Goose Chicago Flagship store is gorgeous! The interior design elements were carefully sourced from companies, brands and craftspeople from Canada. The reception desk was carved from a single piece of marble from a quarry in British Columbia. The furnishings were custom made from Montuck Sofa and the changing room benches were all cut from the same soft maple log and processed by hand in Ontario by millworker DB Johnson. Polar bear figurines were soapstone carved by contemporary aboriginal artist Jason Carter giving a direct nod to the company’s work with Polar Bear International as well as its involvement with Canada’s aboriginal communities.
The store is a mini museum with photography by Canadians Kitra Cahana and Jason van Bruggen of four time Inditarod winner Lance Mackey, extreme athlete ray Zagab and shots straight from the Toronto factory. You will also see archival parkas on display, reminding you if Canada Goose jackets can survive extreme elements, they will work just fine in Chicago.
