Branding It's Way Back to Luxe: Louis Vuitton to Ditch Celeb Angle

They’ve been called the “McDonald’s of luxury brands,” by a certain journalist who was subsequently banned from their fashion shows, but Louis Vuitton is stepping away from the celebrity-schtick that many luxe brands have been spieling for the past couple of years. According to the NYT, the brand is in the final stages of adopting a new television strategy sans the Deneuve-style glam. Instead, the ads will try and fuse their logo with dreams of travel and exotic musings. Sounds like a better strategy to me. — Amy Ko, Senior Editor
