A black leather jacket with jeans is one of those classic fall outfits I’ve been wearing for years. It’s practically a uniform — cozy, comfortable, and effortlessly cool. But this season, I wanted to refine the look and update it with a few fresh pieces and styling tweaks.
Leather Jacket and Jeans Outfit
This outfit is perfect for women over 50 (and really any age). I styled it two ways — high-end on the left and lower-priced lookalikes on the right. You’ll see they look almost identical! You can decide whether to go high, low, or mix both for that perfect high-low styling.
The Classic Outfit: Updated for 2025
I wanted my leather jacket and jeans outfit to feel a little more polished this year. This way I can wear it on multiple occasions without feeling too casual.

Black Leather Jacket
I’ve owned my share of classic black biker jackets, but I’ve always wanted a longer, oversized version that’s both chic and warm — and I’m happy to report they’re still trending.
High:
Khaite Hansel Oversized Belted Leather Biker Jacket, $6,200
This luxe leather runway jacket defines the modern moto — oversized yet refined, and an instant statement piece.
Low:
AllSaints Billie Leather Oversized Biker Jacket, $719
AllSaints delivers the same oversized silhouette with buttery leather and a timeless cut for a fraction of the price.
Cozy Cream Turtleneck Sweater
A black turtleneck is a forever classic, but this time I wanted to lighten things up with a cozy cream version. It brightens the outfit and pairs beautifully with black leather and denim.
High:
Toteme Longline Turtleneck Organic Cotton & Cashmere Sweater, $1,350
Soft, sophisticated, and perfectly slouchy — this luxe Toteme sweater redefines cozy chic. You’ll wear it forever, so it may be worth the splurge.
Low:
Nordstrom Oversize Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater,$119.90
A soft cashmere blend with the same effortless drape — proof you don’t have to splurge to look elegant.
Black Denim Jeans
A great pair of black denim jeans instantly elevates any outfit. I love high-waisted cropped flares because they look great with ankle boots. (Straight or skinny jeans can get caught inside your boots — and that’s so annoying!)
High:
Frame The Arrow High-Rise Flared Jeans, $295
These perfectly cut flares from Frame hug in all the right places and work beautifully with ankle boots.
Low:
Gap High Rise Kick Flare Jeans, $39
The same flattering fit and cropped flare shape — at a price that lets you grab a second pair.
Square-Toe Ankle Boots
I’m loving the low-heeled, square-point ankle boots I’ve been seeing this season. They have a cool, retro vibe — perfect for everyday wear and a fresh alternative to round-toe styles.
High:
Staud Wally Chelsea Boot, $395
These sleek square-toe boots from Staud add structure and sophistication to any outfit.
Low:
Steve Madden Dusty Bootie, $159
The perfect look-for-less version — same retro toe, comfy heel, and chic attitude.
Snake Print Bag
To add contrast and visual interest, a black and cream snake-print shoulder bag completes the look perfectly. It adds texture and pattern while keeping everything neutral and sophisticated.
High:
Khaite Kye snake-effect Leather Shoulder Bag, $1,480
A subtle pop of print elevates any black-and-cream outfit — the ultimate quiet-luxury accessory.
Low:
Moda Luxe Mila Shoulder Bag, $80
A chic, budget-friendly way to get the look — and just the right size for everyday wear.
Total cost for High-End Outfit: $9,720
Total cost for Low Priced Outfit: $1,117
So, would you wear this black leather jacket and jeans outfit? Do you lean toward high, low, or love mixing both like I do?
