April may have seemed a little early for prom season, but that didn’t stop the celebrity fans coming out in droves to support beloved celeb stylist Kate Young for the launch of her Designer Series collection with Target this week. Held in an actual gym at the Old Cathedral School in Nolita, the homage to curfews, formal dresses and adolescent awkwardness was decked out in a wash of shimmering pink lighting, streamers, balloons and confetti. But beyond the celebrity step and repeats and the red carpet flashbulbs, the experience of the party was like some sort of pink-tinged, nostalgic dream. Check out our Instagram shots from the party and see if you can remember the theme from your own prom.
As for snagging a piece of the party for yourself, Kate Young For Target Collection comes out April 14th, and will range from $30 to $90 for apparel, and $15 to $50 for jewelry, handbags, and shoes. Check out the full look book at the Kate Young for Target online shop.
