The other day I had the privilege of chatting with Lulu Guinness at her store in NYC’s West Village at an afternoon teatime to share travel tips, snacks, and to view the collection. Lulu is a total sweetheart, and we had a good time discussing her blog at blog.luluguinness.com/blog.aspx, which is updated often on all of Lulu’s latest adventures! It’s a super cute blog- definitely made it onto my bookmark bar! The teatime was a great start to and shopping party held after for lucky shoppers to preview the 2011 Autumn/Winter collection, get their fave LG bags signed by Lulu, and indulge in some of her favorite chocolates.
Lulu’s close friend is a luxury chocolate maker for the queen. We all enjoyed the delicious candies made by Prestat as we chatted and shopped together. The chocolate is fantastic, I can’t remember the last time I had such amazing chocolate, and the packaging is really to die for! See it on prestat.co.uk.
After attending the fall preview for LG, I updated you guys with a sneak peek of all the goodies, and my favorite styles and pints! You’re going to love it, but in the meantime I thought I’d give you all a quick recap of my favorite accessories by Lulu for this summer. Her sweet, feminine picnic themed line this season is adorable! I’m most obsessed with the “Floral Large Leather Romilly”. The shape and colors are so chic, and so girly. It couldn’t be more fun. The floral print is perfect, because its slightly messy and abstract in a vintage feeling way which is so Lulu, and keeps things from getting too mod or minimal. Also, the floral print (which is on the most gorgeous, buttery leather imaginable!) comes in a clutch size, and a dark cherry color for Fall. I absolutely love the prim and proper feeling of the line, with the daisies, ginghams, and florals offered in all of our favorite shapes. So many of her little collectible pieces, crystal lips, and three dimensional storefront bags are a perfect accessory to keep on display when not in use. They’ll spice up any room or any outfit, giving it the signature British touch of Lulu Guinness and her girlyness. Here’s a look at my favorite summer pieces from the current collection, snag them while you can!
