Summary: Of her fall '09 collection designer Behnaz Sarafpour said she was influenced by "functional art and the elliptical shapes of Alexander Calder." That explained the colorblocking and bandeau cut-outs that weaved their way through her chic collection ever so subtly. Sarafpour got back to basics and gave women what she knew they would want to wear. Her background in art helped her bring together the fantasy and function of the conceptual. For the most part, it was a very impressive collection. One that her fans will be proud to own and wear.
