New York Fashion Week Spring ’17: Narciso Rodriguez Thankfully Tunes Out The Trends
We were on the verge of trend overload. The Narciso Rodriguez New York Fashion Week Spring 2017 collection was thankfully void of all the expected spring trends that have been ever-present on the runways this past week. Not to say those trends are not appreciated and coveted by the fashion masses, however there was an understated elegance and simplicity that graced Rodriguez’s stage that was truly timeless. If you were to look at his collection 20 years from now or 20 years ago, you wouldn’t be able to put a date stamp on these looks; just as impeccably designed clothes should be

New York Fashion Week Spring ’17: Proenza Schouler’s Playful Primary Colors

New York Fashion Week: Victoria Beckham Serves Up Spring With Ease
Victoria Beckham is quickly becoming one of my favorite ready-to-wear designers (though I feel like I’m coming in a little late in the game) as she has been putting out incredibly well thought out and tailored collections for several years now. The collection was inspired by Ugo Rondinone, a Swiss-born mixed media artist who is well-known for Seven Magic Mountains, an installation of seven neon stone totems painted in bright yellows, purples and other colors, constructed from car-size stones located just outside of Las Vegas

New York Fashion Week Spring ’17: Diane von Furstenberg Reimagined Classics
The first Spring/Summer collection since Diane von Furstenberg stepped down as head of her decades old namesake collection is one to be remembered. Jonathan Saunders, the new Chief Creative Officer for the brand, showcases his spin on the fashion icon’s collection, which took the classic silhouette and bias cut of the wrap dress and gave it a bit of an update. Needless to say this style can’t get any more classy and sophisticated, but Saunders managed to re-imagine the well known styles of DVF by presenting then in a new and modernized light perfect for the lady who still admires classic DVF but craves a bit of a modern twist
