As I started putting together my holiday wish list this year, I had a bit of a realization. It wasn’t just a typical list of things I wanted, but rather, a pro-aging wish list. As you may know, at Fountain Of 30 embracing aging with grace and vitality is at the core of what we do. And I realize there are so many things I already know can help me feel and look my best as I age—but I also recognize there’s always room for improvement and a bit more self-care.
First on my list? To be 20 years younger! (I mean, wouldn’t that be nice, right?) OK, I know that’s not something science can deliver just yet. But what is possible is continuing to focus on things that make me look and feel my best as I get older.
The items on my wish list aren’t just about what I want in the moment—they’re also about creating a mindset shift for the year ahead. They are stepping stones to help me embrace the new year with a new you plan for 2025. It’s all about choosing the right approaches that will help all of us age gracefully and vibrantly.

My Pro-Aging Wish List
1. Conair Halo Double-Sided Lighted Makeup Mirror, $79.99
I don’t know how I moved away from using a makeup mirror (perhaps ignorance is bliss), but I know I need one again. My bathroom mirror just isn’t cutting it. This double-sided mirror allows me to take a closer look at my skin tone, blemishes, stray brows, and under-eye circles under different lighting. Plus, the magnification will help me feel my best every day.
2. Dyson Special Edition Airwrap Multi-Styler Complete Long in Strawberry Bronze $625 Value, now $599.99
My Dyson Airwrap blow dryer has been a game changer! It’s saved me so much time and stress—my hair dries quickly and smoothly, so I can be ready in 15 minutes. But since this is a wish list, I’m dreaming of upgrading to the Dyson Multi-Styler. It’s a 3-in-1 tool that lets me dry, curl, and style my hair with ease—perfect for busy mornings when I want to look polished in a flash.
3. Peepers, Birdie, $29
Since I need reading glasses more often these days, I’m wishing for a stylish pair to make them feel like part of my outfit, not just a necessity. Peepers offers a huge variety at reasonable prices, and I love the range of colors and styles. These Birdie glasses are both functional and fashionable—and I adore the hues!
4. H&M Wide High Jeans, now $24.99
There’s nothing like a fresh pair of jeans to update your wardrobe—and an old, out-of-style pair can definitely age you. These high-waisted, wide-leg jeans from H&M are the perfect way to give your denim a modern twist. I tried them on, and they’re true to size, with a bit of stretch for comfort. Plus, the price is right!
5. Marc Jacobs The Clover Shoulder Bag, $250
At Fountain of 30, we often talk about how your handbag can make or break your overall look. Carrying a massive bag can actually age you! There’s a time and place for that, but for a night out, I’m wishing for a sleek, smaller option. This Marc Jacobs bag is just the right size for a phone, small wallet, and lipstick. With both a leather shoulder strap and a removable chain strap for cross-body wear, it’s versatile and chic—perfect for dinner or a party.
6. BlueSky 2025 Weekly/Monthly Planner, $10.99
As I’ve gotten older, a paper planner has become an essential tool for staying organized. I use a digital calendar for some appointments, but I still love writing things down! This BlueSky planner is the perfect size (around 7″ x 9″), with plenty of space for writing and tabs to keep things in order. It helps me stay on top of everything and avoid the dreaded “scatterbrain” moments.
7. Madison Reed Hair Color Limitless Pro+, $65/Every 4 weeks
If you’ve ever wished for unlimited root touch-ups, this one’s for you! Madison Reed offers a monthly membership plan that lets you visit any of their Hair Color Bar locations nationwide for touch-ups as often as you need. It’s a great way to keep your gray at bay and maintain your color without the hassle of at-home dyeing.
So, as I look toward the new year, I see my wish list as more than just a collection of fun items—it’s actually my new year, new you plan for 2025. It’s about making choices now that will help me continue to age with grace, health, and confidence.
Here’s to a new year and a new opportunity to take even better care of ourselves—because getting older doesn’t mean slowing down; it means stepping up our game.
