MANGO Annouces Winner of The Second Edition of the el Botón – MANGO Fashion Awards

Yesterday the Jury of the Second Edition of the el Botón-MANGO Fashion Awards announced Jin Youn Lee the winner of the competition at a press conference in Barcelona, Spain. He will receive 300,000 euros in prize money.

The collections of the 10 finalists were judged by 'The Jury." Chaired by Oscar de la Renta, the judges consisted of various fashion industry VIPS including: renowned Marie Claire Mango_1 Fashion Director – Nina Garcia, Laura Larbalestier of Selfridges, Armand Hadida of prestigious Parisian boutique L’Éclaireur, Tiziana Cardini – the Director of Rinascente, acclaimed fashion consultant Jean Jacques Picart, Spanish model Verónica Blume, model Jerry Hall, Sandrina Fasoli & Michaël Marson – the winners of the first edition of the Mango Fashion Awards, fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco, Isak Andic, Chairman of MANGO, and Damián Sánchez, Managing Partner and Creative Director of the firm.

Like his fellow finalists, Jin Youn Lee of South Korea had five months to create a collection of 10 outfits for the event. Finalists included: Jean Pierre Braganza (United Kingdom), Silvia García Presas (Spain), Josh Goot (Australia), Jaeha Alex Kim (New Zealand), the design duo of Miriam Lehle & Sabina Egler (Germany), Peter Pilotto & Christopher de Vos and Aleksandar Stanic & Fiona Sinha (both duos residing in the United Kingdom), Jakub Polanka (Czech Republic) and Christian Wijnants (Belgium).

The winner’s collection will be exhibited from April 27th to May 2nd in Barcelona’s emblematic Paseo de Gracia along with the other finalists’ collections.
