Today is Veterans Day and we are honoring our military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We are so grateful to them because we can enjoy the freedom we have today. Veterans Day coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day which are celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I so other countries are celebrating with us too.
Today is also Singles Day or Guanggun Jie which is a shopping holiday popular among young Chinese people that celebrate their pride in being single. It is a huge shopping day similar to our Black Friday. November 11th was chosen because the number “1” resembles an individual who is alone, but it has also become a popular date to celebrate relationships and get married on 11/11.
If you have the day off you can enjoy time with your family and you can shop the sales. If you are single you may have even more time to shop (unless you are getting married today!) Here are a few of our favorite sales.
