9 Chic Valentine’s Day Home Decor Pieces That Go Beyond The Holiday

I love decorating my home for different holidays, but I’m all about choosing pieces that aren’t just for a specific occasion. When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I enjoy mixing in decor that shows the spirit of the holiday while still fitting into my home style. I like to use Valentine’s Day home decor items that are subtle, neutral and versatile—things I can incorporate all year round.

Home Decor for Valentine’s Day and Beyond

Valentine’s Day is a great time to add some fun, festive pieces, but I prefer to stay away from decor that feels overly “holiday-specific.” Instead of going all in on the classic reds and hearts, I like focus on accent pieces that can work long after February 14th has passed.

Go Red, Pink and Neutral Hearts

Valentine’s Day is a simple holiday for home decor, because all you need to do is add a few red accents or heart-shaped items. Decorating with solid red is a classic choice. Adding accents like a red tray, pillows or a throw blanket instantly brings vibrant pops of color throughout your home. And these solid accents will look cool all year long.

You don’t have to stick to red accents. Why not try different hues of pink, magenta or even softer neutrals? These colors can add depth and warmth to your home, and they’re perfect for mixing into your decor well after the holiday.

If red isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other ways to bring Valentine’s Day into your home. Think about incorporating heart shapes, but in a way that doesn’t scream “Valentine’s Day.” White, gold, silver, wood, or clear glass in heart shapes are timeless an d can be used all year long.
