I’m not sure why I said 2.0 when the peasant blouse is probably 10.0 now. It’s a trend that never really goes out of style. They became terribly popular in the 60’s and have never fully disappeared. I remember procuring my first peasant blouse in about 7th grade and I wore it out! Later in high school, I wore a white one with green army pants and pointy flats (it was the 80’s). You don’t have to be a hippie, boho, a stoner or a prep to work it either. I picked one up earlier this summer at Joe Fresh and have made it my summer staple…well that and the white one I picked up a few years ago. I style my white peasant top with destroyed denim shorts, a vintage Gucci belt and sandals. My blue and white Joe Fresh top looks best with my white jeans and espadrilles.
