Today's Fashion Headlines: ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ On Broadway, SJP Shoes At Bloomingdale’s, Sephora's Chinese Online Flagship

The Devil Wears Prada
‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Headed To Broadway
Miranda Priestly is heading to the Great White Way! That’s right- ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ is Broadway-bound. Lauren Weisberger‘s 2003 novel and subsequent 2006 box-office smash is being adapted into a musical by producer Kevin McCollum, who previously worked on ‘Rent’ and ‘Avenue Q.’ The project is very hush-hush with few details- we wonder who will play Anne Hathaway‘s Andrea Sachs or Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly. Those are definitely some large (Prada) shoes to fill!
Sarah Jessica Parker’s Shoes Hit Bloomingdale’s
Sarah Jessica Parker and George Malkemus’s SJP shoe collection has secured its first retail partnership in New York. Bloomingdale’s will carry 29 SJP collection styles at its flagship location starting next month. Bloomingdale’s website will also offer the shoes. Store windows, dedicated social media posts and special appearance events are all in the works.
Sephora Launching Chinese Online Flagship
LVMH-owned beauty giant Sephora is teaming up with Chinese e-commerce company JD.com to launch an online flagship in China. The new flagship will be the largest cosmetics store on JD.com and will include over 70 brands. This is a big step for battling beauty counterfeits in China, where fake products are commonplace, even with cosmetics.
