Guess Inc. Names Victor Herrero CEO
Effective August 1, Victor Herrero will be the new chief executive officer of Guess Inc. This will be the first time a nonfounder of the company will hold this position, as former CEO Paul Marciano will become executive chairman and chief creative officer. Guess had been searching for a chief executive since last February. “When we came across Victor we just fell in love with him and his understanding of the global markets and retail experience. We completely believe he’s the right person to succeed in my position,” said Marciano. Currently, Guess is in 90 countries with 25 categories and its retail sales total over $5 billion annually.
Rihanna Named Contributing Creative Director for Stance
What’s the point of rocking over-the-knee socks without some over-the-top Rihanna style? Named contributing creative director, the “B-h Better Have my Money” singer is now designing socks for Stance. “I’ve had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and ‎I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project,” said Rihanna, whose had a relationship with the brand since 2012. The full collection won’t be in stores until fall, but she is releasing two styles on the company’s website today. “She creatively pushes the boundaries in everything she does,” said Candy Harris, the senior vice president for Stance’s women’s division. “It’s nice to work with out-of-the box ideas for our brand.”
Diet Coke Designer Series with Jonathon Anderson 
Jonathon Anderson will be joining the likes of Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier and Karl Lagerfeld as the latest designer to team with Diet Coke for the brand’s bottle design, puling inspiration from his fall-winter 2015 women’s RTW collection. The designs will be revealed in late July, and the limited-edition collector’s box set will be available at Harvey Nichols stores on August 17. Prices go for £24.95. or $39 at the current exchange. Individual bottles will be sold for £1.95, or $3.
