Givenchy Opens New Shop in Miami
A new Givenchy store opens in Miami’s Design District today! The shop will reflect the Givenchy’s Paris flagship, which reinterprets the boxes Hubert de Givenchy used to deliver his couture dresses in. The store has a black lacquer affect to it with a gold logo across the facade. Other openings include the men’s flagship in Paris, a New York City flagship in July and a Milan location to follow.
Alexander McQueen Launching a Silk Scarf Collection
Alexander McQueen has designed a silk scarf collection for the launch of the designer’s “Savage Beauty” retrospective at the Victoria and Albert Museum opening on Saturday. The collection will consist of five patterns that are draw from similar house creations like the Armadillo shoe from spring 2010, and the Spray Painted Dress from the spring 1999 collection. The scarves will be limited to only 100 for each design. They will only be sold at the Alexander McQueen flagship on Bond Street in London, and will retail for $595.
Marc Jacob and Julien Soyez Team Up
Marc Jacobs International has chosen Julien Soyez as the new communications director for Europe and the Middle East. His position will be in effect starting March 16, and duties such as overseeing the brand’s press, digital, advertising and events in the region are included. Also Hugo Scott is to become Jacobs’ director of special projects in New York.
