But beyond Diane’s exceptional talent is a sense of compassion and a generosity of spirit that drive the work of her family’s foundation, which brings quality, hope, beauty and grace to the lives of so many.”
Estée Lauder Leadership Shake-Up
Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. is undergoing a huge organizational shift. The company is realigning its fragrance and men’s skin-care divisions. Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, global brand president of designer fragrances, will depart from the brand on October 31st. John Demsey, a group president of Estée Lauder, will now oversee fragrances and designer brands, and Daniel Annese has been promoted to Estée Lauder’s global brand president. The company is also creating a new business unit, the Men’s Skin Care Group, which Lynne Greene, group president of Clinique, Origins, Ojon, Aveda and Darphin, will oversee.
BCBG Launching in India
BCBG Max Azria has partnered with Reliance Brands for a debut in India. Reliance Brands specializes in bringing global fashion brands to the Indian market. “We have been looking at the market for a while, and it seems to be a really good time to launch,” said Sophie Rietdyk, president of licensing and international for the BCBG Max Azria Group. The first stores will open in early 2015 and store location scouting is set to begin soon. In a statement, Rietdyk said the company is excited about BCBG entering the Indian market. “There are a lot of luxury brands, and there are many players in the men’s market but there’s not so much of women’s wear in this space,” she noted. The company is continually growing and is also targeting Asia- two stores opened in Thailand this year, and there are plans to grow the brand’s presence in China next year.
