Calvin Klein Sponsoring Central Park Exhibit
Public arts organization Creative Time and Central Park Conservancy will be presenting a new springtime art exhibition in Central Park titled Drifting in Daylight and it will be sponsored by Calvin Klein Collection. The exhibit will open on May 15, and is free to all visitors. The six-weekend show runs only on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 P.M. until June 20. The director of exhibitions at Creative Time, Cara Starke said, “Eight artists have conjured eight alluring, challenging interpretations of our everyday park experience. Drifting in Daylight invites the public on a springtime stroll of artworks that punctuate and playfully mimic New York’s urban oasis.
Dior Moving to French Riviera
Dior was to show its new cruise collection in Los Angeles on May 9, however, a new location and date has been announced! The show is now said to be on May 11, and on the French Riviera not a far distance away from Cannes. A venue has yet to be announced, but it has been revealed that there was an opportunity Dior couldn’t resist when deciding to change the plans of the show.
O Magazine Celebrates 15 Years
The new May issue of O Magazine marks the Hearst Magazine owned title’s 15th year. Fifteen premier members of O’s Circle of Friends could win a copy of the magazine, which will be signed by Oprah Winfrey and adorned with more than 1,500 Swarovski crystals. In order to be selected those members must write a short paragraph on “what makes you shine.” The issue hits stands on April 14, and will include 15 mini-sections that play on some of Winfrey’s mantras.
