When Sequin NYC first opened in Chicago last winter, Second City Style Fashion Editor Yen Le drooled over this “Gem in Lincoln Park.” I certainly share in Yen’s enthusiasm about this fabulous costume jewelry boutique at 845 W. Armitage. It is more fun than ever to shop with their summertime collections inspired by Liz Taylor in Cleopatra and Cher and new pieces are arriving all the time. You really must visit the boutique to check out the huge variety of earring, necklaces, pendants and cuffs. I personally adore the big statement pieces and there is something for everyone, even if you don’t want to be quite so glitzy. You may have seen me wearing Sequin NYC pieces (over again) in our Outfit of the Day posts.
These well made costume jewelry pieces mostly range from $30 to $200. Their Badgley Mischka Swarovksi collection is outstanding, with prices on the necklaces averaging $500, but these unique and collectible pieces are worth it! Send your man in there if he has trouble buying gifts for you. The friendly Sequin NYC staff will be glad to help.
