Styling My Sorel Firenzy Boots…and a Giveaway!

I was asked to make a video by Sorel styling a pair of their winter boots. I got my first pair of Sorel's last winter and could not have been happier to be asked to style another pair this season. I picked out black leather Firenzy boots, and let me tell you, I have hardly had them off my feet yet this winter. I wear them with everything! Dresses, jeans, cargo pants…you name it. They are waterproof leather, fully lined and padded so they are super comfy. Walking the slushy and snowy streets this New York City winter have been a breeze!

Take a look at the video and see how I styled them on my way to Sunday brunch last weekend. Oh and yes, that is my son you hear babbling in the background of the video!

  1. I’d wear mine with my plaid-ish short wool pencil skirts, dark black tights, coordinating socks to peek out from the boots and a subtly colorful pashmina wrapped casually around the neck, to add a subtle coordinating pop of color against my black Danish designed, military-inspired wool coat.

  2. I would wear mine with my jeggings I am pretty obsessed with and with my long sweater tunic top i picked up at h and m, along with a chic military style coat I got at Zara years ago. And of course cashmere gloves..LOVE these boots

For a normal day I would wear the ice skating rink to keep my feet warm before I put on my skates and to aerial dance rehearsal to look stylish with my leggings and my long Lululemon all-weather jacket.

  14. I would be wearing these awesome boots with my long underwear, skinny jeans tucked in, some type of extremely warm sweater, my big winter coat, hat, and gloves. Yep thats right it is freezing in Montana and I am a wimp. I could simply go with the long underwear and the boots but I am thinking that clothes would be more attractive and the smarter choice.

  16. I do not have a lot of money right now to spend on myself or else I would already own these boots. I love these boots. To be honest, I would wear the cate the great boots with black leggings. I would layer a long black tank top (mid-thigh) with another charcoal color tank top on top. I would wear my dark gray ribbed open cardigan with a black scarf around my neck. These boots are totally my style and I would wear them several times a week. Please pick me because the boots I wear normally are 6 years old… I can’t afford new ones..Thank you for reading this.

  17. I am not very knowledgable in fashion but I am learning! I am working on getting a new wardwrob one peice at a time. I would wear these Cate the Greats with my new clothes I am getting! I’d wear them with my skinny jeans, long underwear, fashionable tops and long winter coat! I live here in Iowa and I wear plain old Ranger boots that are not very dressy by any means! I have seen these Sorel boots advertised but have not had the money to buy them. I need some dressy Winter boots!

  19. I would wear them with black fleece-lined leggings (it’s cold here!), a black ribbed merino wool turtleneck (did I say it’s cold here?), my black bubble down vest (bc it’s cold here!) and I would top it off with my black sueded leather Minnetonka hat, which is just awesome (but not terribly warm). With the otherwise all black outfit, the Cate the Greats become the centerpiece of the ensemble, as they should be!!!

  25. My husband and I are from Nashville. We’re in a band together and will be on tour up North this spring. My Southern feet will be cold, so I’d rock these boots like it was 1999 with dark Levi skinny jeans, some patterned socks peeking out (like Kate), a fitted wool/angora cream cowl neck top from H&M that hits mid thigh, and my navy blue, cropped Daughters of the Liberation military jacket. I’d top it off with a red scarf, my cream Coal hat and some glittens (my word for the glove/mitten combo). You’ll be keepin’ a Southern singer cozy up North if I become the lucky owner.

Last time they were on with skinny jeans, a vintage Izod cardigan and white v neck undershirt! Oh, and it was just cold enough to wear my leapard print furry coat on top, to Church! I felt like I could take on the world!

I’d style them by wearing with leggings or skinny jeans and maybe a long cardigan sweater, or a long button down plaid. Then of course, a warm parka & gloves to head out into the cold!

  38. This is a fabulous giveaway! Sorel has really done a fashion 180 – remember when they were just clunky, ugly white boots we begged our parents not to make us wear to school?!
    Anyway. Honestly, I’d wear these every day because I live in Wisconsin – but they’re perfect for it. They’re an unexpected addition to tights, a sparkly sequin dress with a cozy cardigan over it for a night out when the snow is falling softly. They’re also ready for daytime with tights, a mini skirt and a chunky sweater for running errands. And, heck, they’re even more perfect for hanging out in the ski lodge sipping a hot toddy!

So warm and comfy, and waterproof from the knees down!

  43. i love more celebrities’ styles than i can name,
    mostly because no two dress the same.
    to accessorize these boots wouldn’t be a chore;
    i have so many ideas each of which i adore!
    mrs. victoria beckham would be my style muse;
    to copy an older look of hers is what i would choose.
    she went on a skiing trip back in 2006,
    and along the way passed along many fashion tips.
    only all black or all white is what she wore-
    dressing like that would not be a chore!
    her hair was long and her sunglasses dark,
    add a huge diamond ring and you can’t miss the mark!
    her furry boots stole the show
    as did keeping her gorgeous husband in tow.
    this is the look that i’d replicate
    except my shoes would be these “cate the great’s.”
    so to recap, my accessories would be the same as vicky b’s,
    and, for clothes, a monochrome sweater and a pair of dark skinny jeans.
    my bf would hold my hand and the sorel boots would be on my feet,
    keeping me warm in icy nyc…oh what a treat!
    thanks for reading; this giveaway rocks;
    keep the posts coming because second city style is tops!

The other day I managed to get a good deal on a pair of pregnancy leggings and a gray dress only to get home and find out that my current boots are more for under-the-dress styles and not so much for showing off! These boots would fit the bill perfectly and make it so I can go out with my husband for Valentine’s day πŸ™‚
