Style Sleuth: The Heat is On For Summer Fashion!

Summer_2014_Fashion
Finally! It seems like it’s been years since the Windy City has seen the sun but I think we can safely say it’s time to break out the shorts. Maybe you don’t want to completely refurbish your wardrobe but you do need a couple of new things. Here are a few pieces to spice up your summer look.
The beachy look is always in but you don’t have to go to the beach to get it. A tropical-inspired shirt always works, but there are options if you don’t want to wear the stereotypical Hawaiian garb. Wear a bold graphic print or a crop top (if you can pull it off). You can finish it up with some sun-kissed hair.
White is always perfect for summer. It embodies the crisp brightness of the season. You can add a pair of white skinny jeans to your rotation or choose a sleek white jumpsuit for hitting the town. Or you can always throw on the classic summer staple: cuffed denim shorts.
There’s even makeup coverage if you want perfect summer skin. A moisturizing tint with SPF is all you need. It covers up imperfections without looking heavy. Just make sure you wear liquid coverage if you’re taking photos at night so you don’t get that ghostly, glittery shadow. And no look is completed without a pair of summer sandals. Add some bright jelly sandals and expertly polished toes in a vibrant shade. It’s even better if the sandals are finished with cute charms or embellishments.
