I know there is nothing new about short rompers. They have been around for several spring/summer seasons now. There’s a good reason why they keep reappearing though – they are easy, yet high-style! Short rompers are a summer staple no-brainer, especially for those who are not the most creative at styling their own look. Simply toss on a short romper, some jewelry and heels and you are pretty much good to go! I didn’t think I could wear one since I am long-waisted and generally find a one-piece anything uncomfortable. However, last summer I was able to find some knit ones with a little give. I lived in them. Also be sure to check the inseam of the shorts. Anything under 4 inches I wouldn’t consider if you are over the age of 40. Yes, you can still wear a short romper over 40! Just look for the more fitted and tailored variety. The loose and frilly rompers tend to look a little juvenile. And overalls? Forget ’em. Nobody over the age of 10 should ever wear overalls. Ever.
