Spring '13 BagTrend: The East-West Bag

The-East-West-Bag_
The term ‘East-West’ when it comes to handbags and totes bag technically means the bag is longer than it is tall (going East to West). Hence I suppose a bag that is taller than it is wide is a ‘North-South,’ but we are not talking about those now. What’s totally in for Spring ’13, is the East-West bag and I have been totally wild about them for a few seasons now. My obsession began with the Celine Luggage tote and then I moved on to the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli. Yet, I personally prefer a bag I can toss over my shoulder rather than carry over my wrist. So when I learned Celine makes a version of the Luggage Tote that’s bigger with longer straps they call the ‘East-West’ tote…I had my a-ha moment. I also had my new bag! An East-West bag is usually structured and can have wings, otherwise known as a trapeze bag. Oh who cares? You don’t really have to think, because I found 10 perfect East-West bags to consider:
