Splendid & Ella Moss to Launch Shoe Lines

According to WWD, contemporary labels Splendid and Ella Moss have signed an exclusive licensing deal with New York Transit Inc. to create women’s shoes for each brand. Both companies are owned by VF Corp. Each are expected to unveil their collections at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York trade show (Splendid in August for a spring 2012 rollout and Ella Moss in December for fall 2012 deliveries).
Since it’s launch in 2002 Splendid has become synonymous for super soft T-shirts. The brand will now offer more than 50 shoe styles that include sandals and wedges. Retail price points will range from $79 to $129.
As for Ella Moss, the shoes will be vintage and Seventies glam inspired retailing from $129 to $250 and include boots, heels and casual styles.
