Today (April 15, 2008) Sephora (the Toys R’ US of makeup) released their new book "Sephora: The Ultimate Guide to Makeup, Skin, and Hair from the Beauty Authority! I have read it and now you have a chance to win not only your very own copy, but a swag bag of makeup goodies from Sephora!
Written by former Sephora beauty editor Melissa Schweiger, the book features interviews with many of the world’s top makeup artists and offers solutions from women’s biggest makeup foibles (like applying false eyelashes properly) to tips on how to fake having gorgeous cheekbones. The book is jammed packed with photos of favorite products (I’m bound to purchase a few more now!) and ‘how-to’ tips from industry experts! The photography alone is fabulous.

I think I should win because I have figured out how to carry a minimal amount of make-up, in the lightest possible bag. Look, it’s sheer mesh! Enclosed is Laura Mercier Secret Consealer, a black Sue Devitt pencil – (for going from day to evening in a flash) a nail file, a tiny mirror, Sue Devitt Lipstick, Mac Lip Glass and a couple of Mary Kay colored eyeliners in Steeley and Sage. I also carry a pill box of Advil, so I am quite popular with my friends. The make-up bag I carry is really a “Repair kit”.

I’ve just emailed you the pic of my makeup bag. You can see why I desperately need to win!! I don’t even have lipstick, just some lip balm/gloss. And the only makeup I use is eyeliner, eye pencil and mascara! Please help me!!! Thank you 🙂

You can never have too much in your make up bag . . . at least that’s my philosophy! You never know when an unexpected event pops up or the cutie in the coffee shop looks your way– who wants to be caught with out key essentials? I think I deserve this because I’m in need of some of those essentials. 🙂
