Runway To Real Way: Forget March Madness! Presenting the Fab Four of Spring '15 Must-Haves.

Spring Trends 2015 Runway to Real Way
Spring has sprung! And whether the weather is cooperating it or not, the calendar dictates that now is the time to slough off the heavy shackles of our winter wardrobes and begin looking to the breezy promise of spring. To celebrate, we’ve collected our Fab 4 (Eat your heart out, March Madness) of Spring Fashion Staples. We’ve plucked these four trends straight off the Spring 2015 runways and found the easiest and most wallet-friendly ways to incorporate them into your closet without sacrificing an ounce of style.
As much as we would love to fold up our outerwear and kiss it good-bye for the next 9 months, anyone who’s not living in the southern regions of the States knows that spring still reads plenty of time for jackets. This season, function meets fashion as utility coats and parkas were seen strutting down the runways of such style trend setters as Nicholas K. The lightweight, edgy look is most often coupled with a causal spring look but could be dressed up for an occasion with a sweet little skirt, as evidenced by J Crew’s Fishtail Anorak, which we fell equally in love with.
It may not be Pantone’s pick for 2015, but we’re going to go ahead and call lilac the color of Spring 2015. Runways were awash with the watercolor hue, as fresh and lightweight as the season implies. Altuzarra picked a one-two punch with spring trends, trotting out both lilac and gingham in his Spring 2015 collection. The cooling, sleek color can be easily transferred to an office-worthy ensemble guaranteed to perk up your work mates, as evidenced by LOFT’s Petite Mixed Media Tee. And with such a budget-friendly price, feel free to purchase a few more perfect pastels.
Spring is all about lightning everything up, but that doesn’t always have to include fabrics; one of our favorite spring trends from the Spring 2015 runways was a fresh and modern take on the moto jacket in a clean and creamy hue. BCBG belted and snapped up their chic moto-inspired jacket in their Spring 2015 collection and the juxtaposition of hard and soft inspired us to find a suitable alternative. Banana Republic saved the day with its equally polished Perforated White Leather Moto Jacket, the perfect topper to toss onto virtually any springtime ensemble.
We’re especially excited for the similarities with our last trend: the sheer skirt. Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet is always the last and most effective word in ultra feminine fashion and we fell hard for the Parisian essence of her sheer-paneled circle skirt. We were able to nail a replica from our good friends and Express, with their High Waist Organza Midi Skirt. From spring date nights to cocktails, this piece will surely live at the front of your closet and will be worth every dollar of its fantastic price tag.
