Oh the day I had! It began with the Christian Louboutin sample sale (which rocked) and ended with a snow storm (which didn’t)! I didn’t leave on my journey until 1pm, but I swear it was possibly the longest day of my life. I was fortunate enough to get a 2pm time at the Christina Louboutin sample sale and there was no way I was going to be late. As my luck would have it, the weather was hideous. By the time I got to the showroom in the Fashion District, it had begun to sleet/snow. Damn Nor’ester! Because I had 3 more events to attend, one of which was somewhat formal, I didn’t want to wear boots so I decided I could trash these patent brogues I scored at H&M for $25 and stashed some better shoes in my bag. Huge mistake.
So I then went to the Avon Holiday preview where I had my makeup touched up and Julia took this photo. By the time I reached this showroom, the paper bag carrying my new boots and bag was destroyed and the shoes on my feet were soaked. With a new bag supplied by Avon I had to hightail it to the Upper East Side for another event at the Museum of Natural History. By now it was snowing sideways and I slid into the bus I was trying to catch after I had begged a shoe store to give me a plastic bag, my third. Then I had to go to one last event on the Upper East Side and by this time it was really snowing.
It was a long night and I could not believe it was 9:30 when I got home. It felt like 3am! So my outfit, while nothing fantastic, served it’s purpose…but my shoes were trashed!
