Summary: The graphite drawings of nighttime skies by Vija Celmins, Hubble telescope images of lunar floors and the craggy landscapes of the Galápagos Islands were the inspiration for the Lela Rose Fall '10 collection. This textural exploration added amazing depth and dimension to her trademark romantic dresses. Noteworthy were the evening cocktail dresses and gowns. Particularly the ivory embossed silk one shoulder draped dress that was truly drool worthy. The two constellation embroidered dresses were simple yet dramatic. For those who came to see the expected procession of girl glam frocks, they did not leave disappointed. The collection was beautiful.
