Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer '07. Prada Trumps Again With Jewel Toned Satin For Spring. Second City Style Fashion Blog

Summary: Prada went back in time…to the 40’s. Miuccia Prada likes to keep her legions of fans on their toes and she succeeded this time. Love it or hate it, this show was much more sober than the Fall ’06 collection. The turbaned models wore jewel-toned satins which were a surprise for spring. The shoulders were more rounded and the clothes more flowing than one would expect from Prada.

Color Palette: rich burgundy, sapphire blue, ruby red, amethyst, dark orange, beige, brown, olive, black, white.

Texture & Details: satin; sheer chiffon blouses; long and lean dresses; ballooned with relaxed shoulder tops in stain; satin tunics; satin oversized and belted coat dresses; beige satin shift; brown fringed mini dress and long dress; belted micro-mini

Key Looks: high waisted brief shorts (40’s swimwear style); belted blouses and micro-mini dresses; nylon backpacks, satin pumps, fringed handbags,  and platform wrap sandals.
