Designer Lulu Guinness has teamed up with artist Joe Steele to create Paint Project, a capsule line of clutch bags with a twist – they are splattered with color by a paint cannon.
Guinness is often inspired by art, and she connected with Steele after finding out about his use of paint and explosives. The collection debuted on July 11 at a dinner party, where guests were treated to live entertainment – an exploding paint cannon splattering paint onto clutches.
The duo has created 180 bags covered in red, black and white paint splatter. They are priced at $446, and will sell in Lulu Guinness stores and online.
